Bruce Coudrey started working for himself in 1983, when he started his first Shell service station in Wollongong aged 22. Since then he has owned and operated six Shell service stations, along with several carwashes, a large car detailing business, a Thrifty car rental franchise, and other businesses including outdoor advertising billboards, and an industrial parts cleaning business.Bruce Coudrey has been a Registered Business Valuer since 2009, he is a Certified Practicing Business Broker, and is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Northern Territory.In 1995 Bruce commenced operating as a business broker. Since then he has handled the sale of hundreds of small businesses – and in early 2013 he had completed his 1700th transaction.
Bruce has acted as a court-appointed expert witness on many matters (especially service stations),and he has been engaged in appraising and consulting to many types of small business. Bruce Coudrey is a member of the Australian Institute Of Business Brokers (AIBB), the International Business Brokers Association, and the Real Estate Institute of Queensland. For many years now Bruce has been an active member of the AIBB State and National executive committees, and he established and oversees the AIBB Education, Training and Professional Development Committee. Bruce is often asked to speak to business groups, and is an accredited workplace trainer. He works in all markets sectors across the country. In 2010 Bruce was awarded the AIBB President Medal – and at that time he was only the second recipient of that recognition.

Ian has gained 28 years business experience working throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America Australia and New Zealand. Ian is a dedicated business manager who maintains a professional approach at all levels of business interactions. With significant business experience gained from owning his own businesses and time spent in the corporate world; his strengths are identifying short and long term growth opportunities as well as understanding the diversity of exit strategies available to business owners today.
Before joining Benchmark as a business broker, Ian was QLD State manager for Flow Systems (part of Brookfield group) where he created dynamic growth opportunities for developers within the residential and commercial property markets. Prior to Flow, Ian was also at Trility, (part of Mitsubishi) Australia’s 3rd largest water company, and as Head of Strategic Growth, Ian developed strategies for the company’s growth from 120 employees to over 400 today, including sourcing joint ventures arrangements and value added acquisitions.
After selling his own pipeline business to Veolia, Ian also spent 6 years with them and was promoted to National Business Development Director. During his time at Veolia Ian grew his division from $400k to $46m per annum to become the largest water main “Trenchless” rehabilitation company in the southern hemisphere.
Prior to Veolia, Ian was the Managing Director / Owner of Pipe Shield, a specialised pipeline inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation company. Ian sold his business to Veolia.
Ian also worked internationally for companies such as Trafalgar Water Inc., where he was a consultant to a number of North American companies within the utilities, services and water industries. His main area of expertise in business, is mergers and acquisitions, consolidation proposals, market analysis, securing funding for growth, and new technology introduction and acceptance.
